Plants are grown in greenhouse conditions that can be very different from the light, humidity and environment inside your home. Rather than simply bringing them in and putting them up for sale, every plant goes through our signature acclimation and care process.

Once a plant arrives from our greenhouse or supplier, we carefully remove it from its original growing medium, inspect and clean the roots, and repot it in our signature handcrafted soil blend, individually curated to support the needs of each plant variety. The plant is then treated with our organic plant spray to help clean the foliage and address any unwanted pests that may have travelled with it.

From there, we give it something just as important: time.

Each plant is allowed to acclimate to an indoor environment while we closely observe how it responds to its new soil, light and surroundings. We monitor its overall health and growth, and only once we’re satisfied that the plant is healthy, established and adjusting well is it made available for purchase.

It’s our way of taking care of the transition before it becomes yours—so bringing home a beautiful plant feels a little simpler, more intentional and less stressful.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR PHILODENDRON WHITE PRINCESS

Elegant but not overly demanding, the Philodendron White Princess loves plenty of soft light, intentional watering and a little humidity. Because of its beautiful white variegation, finding the right balance of light is especially important for keeping your Princess growing happily and looking her best.

  • White Princess prefers indirect sunlight and should be protected from prolonged direct sun. The white portions of its leaves contain little to no chlorophyll, making them especially sensitive to intense sunlight and more prone to scorching.

    A spot with bright, filtered natural light is ideal. Light softened through a sheer curtain works beautifully, while gentle early morning or late evening sun is generally fine.

  • Your White Princess can adapt to medium light, but bright, indirect light is where she’ll truly thrive.

    Because variegated foliage contains less chlorophyll than solid-green leaves, good lighting is especially important. Brighter indirect light supports stronger growth and helps the plant maintain its beautiful variegation, while lower-light conditions may result in slower growth and more green foliage.

    Give her the light—just not the burn.

  • Allow the soil to become mostly dry before watering again. White Princess appreciates moisture but doesn’t want to stay consistently wet.

    Rather than following a strict watering schedule, check the soil first. Your home’s light, temperature, humidity and the season can all change how quickly the soil dries.

    When the soil is mostly dry, water thoroughly and allow excess water to drain. Expect your plant to drink more frequently during brighter, warmer months and less often in cooler or lower-light conditions.

    When in doubt, wait another day. Slightly dry is safer than constantly wet.

  • White Princess is comfortable in average household humidity, but being a tropical Philodendron, she’ll appreciate a little extra humidity when you can provide it.

    Moderate humidity can be especially helpful during dry winter months and can support healthy new growth. A humidifier nearby works beautifully if your home tends to be particularly dry.

  • Philodendron White Princess is toxic if ingested and may cause irritation and other adverse reactions in pets. If your pet has a habit of sampling your plant collection, keep your Princess somewhere safely out of reach.
