At GINA&AURA, we honour the journey from greenhouse to home, giving each plant time and care before it becomes part of your sanctuary.

Plants are grown in greenhouse conditions that can be very different from the light, humidity and environment inside your home. Rather than simply bringing them in and putting them up for sale, every plant goes through our signature acclimation and care process.

Once a plant arrives from our greenhouse or supplier, we carefully remove it from its original growing medium, inspect and clean the roots, and repot it in our signature handcrafted soil blend, individually curated to support the needs of each plant variety. The plant is then treated with our organic plant spray to help clean the foliage and address any unwanted pests that may have travelled with it.

From there, we give it something just as important: time.

Each plant is allowed to acclimate to an indoor environment while we closely observe how it responds to its new soil, light and surroundings. We monitor its overall health and growth, and only once we’re satisfied that the plant is healthy, established and adjusting well is it made available for purchase.

It’s our way of taking care of the transition before it becomes yours—so bringing home a beautiful plant feels a little simpler, more intentional and less stressful.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR mARBLE QUEEN POTHOS

The Marble Queen Pothos is as easygoing as it is beautiful, making it a great choice for both new plant parents and seasoned collectors. Give it good indirect light, allow the soil to dry between waterings and let those vines do their thing. With the right conditions, it will reward you with lush, trailing growth and beautifully marbled leaves.

  • Keep your Marble Queen away from prolonged, harsh direct sunlight, which can scorch its delicate variegated foliage.

    A spot with soft, filtered sunlight is ideal. Light through a sheer curtain works beautifully, or place it somewhere bright where the sun doesn’t shine directly onto its leaves for extended periods.

  • The Marble Queen can adapt to a range of indoor lighting conditions, but medium to bright, indirect light is where it will truly shine.

    Because its creamy white variegation contains less chlorophyll, it generally needs more light than a solid-green Pothos to support healthy growth. Brighter indirect light can also help maintain its beautiful marbling, while lower-light conditions may result in slower growth and leaves with more green.

  • Allow the soil to become mostly dry before watering again. Pothos are forgiving plants and generally handle being a little thirsty much better than being kept consistently wet.

    Rather than watering on a strict schedule, check the soil first. How quickly it dries will change depending on your home’s light, temperature, humidity and the season.

    When it’s time, water thoroughly and allow excess water to drain. Your Marble Queen may need water more frequently during warmer, brighter months and less often when growth naturally slows.

    If you’re unsure whether it needs water, waiting another day is usually the safer choice.

  • Your Marble Queen is perfectly comfortable in average household humidity, so there’s no need to turn your home into a tropical greenhouse.

    It will appreciate some additional humidity, especially during dry winter months, but it isn’t necessary for keeping this plant happy and healthy.

  • The Marble Queen Pothos is toxic if ingested and can cause irritation and other adverse reactions in cats and dogs. If your pet has a habit of sampling your greenery, keep those tempting trailing vines somewhere safely out of reach.
